Dungeons and Dragons 101

Have you ever wanted to go on a quest to defeat a dragon or explore a treacherous dungeon? Teens, 12-18, can join us Saturdays, June 12 and 26 to play Dungeons and Dragons.

On June 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium, teens will create their characters and learn the rules of the game. Teens must have a Gmail or Twitch account in order to create a character using https://www.dndbeyond.com/. Then on June 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium, teens will participate in a D&D campaign with their created characters.

Space is limited to six participants and registration is required. To sign up, email your name and age to rodmaninfo@gmail.com or call 330-821-2665 ext. 217.

Bell Bag Take and Make

Starting Tuesday, June 1, teens ages 12-18 can stop by the Reference Department at the Rodman Main Library to pick up a bell bag “take and make” craft.  All supplies for the craft will be included as well as step-by-step instructions for constructing the craft. Supplies are limited and will be given out at a first come first served basis. For more information, call 330-821-2665 ext. 217. 

computerVirtual Gaming Day

Rodman Public Library invites teens, ages 12-18, to play Jackbox Games online on Thursday, June 3 at 3:00 p.m. All that is needed is a device to connect to the internet. Teens will vote on which games they will play during the program.

Registration is required. To register, email the name and age of the teen who wants to participate to rodmaninfo@gmail.com. You will receive a link to join a Google Meet session where you will receive instructions on how to play together. For more information, call 330-821-2665 ext. 214.

Rodman Public Library invites kids and teens, ages 10-18, to play Minecraft virtually together on Thursday, June 17, at 3:00 p.m. Minecraft Realms will be used for this open play program.

Space is limited to 10 spots and registration is required. To register, email the name and gamer tag of the child or teen who wants to participate to rodmaninfo@gmail.com. An invite to join the library’s realm will be sent to the gamer tag. For more information, call 330-821-2665 ext. 214.

Creative ideas flowing? Join Rodman Public Library for the Teen Writing Club that meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium. The next meetings are June 9 and 23.

Have fun meeting virtually with your fellow teen writers to exchange ideas, hone your skills and share your work.

Teen Book Club

Are you a teen who loves to read? Join Rodman Public Library for the Teen Book Club that meets on the third Monday of the month at 4:00 p.m. in the Main Auditorium.

Eliza and Her MonstersThe next meeting will be on Monday, June 21 and the selected title will be Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia. Copies are available at the Main Library, through the library’s catalog, or digitally through the Ohio Digital Library and Hoopla.

All teens, ages 12-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library on Thursday, June 24 at 3:00 p.m. Teens will have the chance to pick their favorite episodes to be shown on RPL’s big screen. Anime Club will meet in the Main Auditorium of Rodman Public Library.
